Finger-pointing often comes from those unwilling to examine themselves. Blunt reversals and moral paradoxes collapse judgment when applied equally – whether in society or geopolitical narratives. The recurring demand to “look in the mirror” becomes less an insult and more a diagnostic tool for self-reflection. By stripping away politeness and euphemism, we should look in the mirror and ask, “Do my moral judgments reflect the truth, or are they selective perceptions dressed up in hypocrisy?”
